# Subspace Brawl

> Subspace Brawl is a space battle game for live streams that the chat plays. The streamer runs a Windows desktop app and adds its overlay to OBS as a browser source; viewers type !join in Twitch or YouTube chat and their ship flies into the fight on stream. Ships fight on their own, chat commands fire abilities, and cheers and channel point redeems set off orbital strikes, nukes, calamities and cosmetics.

Key facts:

- Viewers join by typing `!join` (or `!play`) in chat; joining is free. Commands: `!missile`, `!shields`, `!ram`, `!retreat`, `!mine`, `!space color`.
- Platforms: Twitch chat and YouTube live chat (at the same time), Windows desktop app, OBS browser source overlay in landscape 1920×1080 or vertical 1080×1312.
- No server, domain or open ports needed: the app runs on the streamer's PC; Twitch connects with one button and an Authorize click.
- Modes: Factions (team deathmatch, or Fleet Reserves by stock), Free-for-all (by time, or by lives), Boss (everyone against a giant boss).
- Fields (where the fight is, random each round or picked): Deep Space, Over Earth (satellites, some armed), Lunar Surface, Over Mars (dust storms), Over Jupiter (radiation fields), Saturn's Rings (ice), Near the Sun (solar flares).
- Cheers: every 10 bits = an orbital strike on a random ship; `!bounty @name` in a cheer places bounties instead.
- Channel point redeems: Nuke, calamities, Mine Supply, EMP, Grow, Bounty, Missile Supply, Trail, Shield Skin, Explosion, Laser Skin.
- Streamer tools: bots, leaderboards, custom scripts (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Lua), REST API, event stream and an MCP server.
